16:45 Excellent pub and guvnor. In my opinion the best pub of the day. Three of us then headed back to London leaving the other four in the pub.

A most enjoyable visit. Stuart looked at the GBG for information on the Kite Brewery and we discussed whether the comments about the brewer should have referred to Hardy and Hanson.

Stuart was on holiday so the pub was being run by one of his sons, fortunately he keeps his ales in just as good condition as his father. Only one other customer at the time of my visit.

The best of the evening. A relief crew was running the pub but as friends of the owners and very experienced too they made me most welcome and we had lively conversation about the derivation of the name Ska for Ska music and mused over the great days when Greene King brewed at Biggleswade and Bury St Edmunds. They had, at one time, run pubs in St Neots.
