Mid evening after a tango lesson nearby (don’t ask!). The beers went down very well.

Our monthly micropub trip was planned to be to the Handsome Sam - but this was unexpectedly closed just after noon with no sign of life. We hastily rescheduled to the TA. Good welcome for six of us and a few other regulars in. We mainly had four pint jugs and pretended they could fill 5 pint glasses - they nearly did!
BeerABVScoreNotes
Mighty Oak - Equinox4.10ExcellentSuperb golden ale in fine condition.
Koomor (contract brewed at Iron Pier) - Petal4.80GoodUnfined. Very unusual flavour, sweet and flowery I think. Enjoyed it.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 54.40Not TriedI’m seeing this nearly everywhere I go these days. Didn’t try it but it went down well with the others.
Koomor (contract brewed at Iron Pier) - Earth4.80Not Tried

Micropub outing for the bus pass brigade. Nice and cool in the Tank. 7 of us had a very pleasant session ordering 2 and 4 pint jugs that seemed to come as very generous measures.

Wet and windy ride - needed a pub stop: Handsome Sam and Black Dog both closed, thank goodness for the TA. Good chat with ex CAMRA official Bob.

Early evening visit. First visit to this much larger version after a move some time ago. The former intimate feel has gone.

Sunday around 5 - warm and sunny with the pavement area being used well. Up to a dozen people inside - but all in groups of 2 or 3 - the new premises with its much wider isle doesn’t facilitate conversations across groups as the old place did. Adventurous ale menu - 3 of the 5 new to this site.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Hop Fuzz - Yellow Zinger3.70Good
Turnstone - Seven Seas5.60AcceptableListed as a “strong pale” I assume it was unfiltered as it was opaque. Not really to my taste - rather “petroly” I thought.
Potton - Holly Pup Mild3.80Not Tried
Leigh on Sea - Boys of England3.90Not Tried
Milestone - Colonial4.80Not TriedListed as “pale” - so not to be confused with their Colonial Stout.

The pub is found in Tankerton, Kent, CT5 2AW.

A micropub in Tankerton Road which first opened on Friday 15th March 2013 located in 139B Tankerton Road. The name is a resurrection of the old Tankerton Arms pub which was highly regarded but converted to apartments sometime ago. The premises was formerly a tattoo parlour and the word Tattoo remains on the glass above the pub frontage. There is no bar counter and there are long wooden raised bench seats fitted to both the left and right hand walls each with 3 heavy chest-height wooden tables. At the back of the pub a glass door leads to the chilled gravity stillage room. A Unisex toilet with a double "kissing gate" entrance is provided. Sells real ales, ciders and red and white wine. Local CAMRA branch Pub of the Year 2016. Subsequently moved to new premises, a few doors along, in late March 2018 to the former HSBC bank premises at 135 Tankerton Road, larger than the previous premises in all regards.

We have visited this pub 55 times, seen 171 different beers and tried 86 of them.
