Came back on a beautiful sunday afternoon for more of the beer I had yesterday! A singer was setting up his gear but I didn't have time for that.

I get the impression the landlord in here has really lost his enthusiasm for the place, I can't remember the last time I saw one of Sheps seasonal beers in here. Very quiet.

Difficult to decide where to go midweek in Broadstairs, settled on this place. Fairly decent crowd in, mainly ageing gentlemen.

Relieved to find the Neptune only had around half a dozen folks in. Have noticed that all the Sheps pubs I've been in recently have had Exmoor ales on tap. It would be nice to see some of their micro brews instead.

Another live act on in here, I had a couple then ran home for dinner before returning 90 minutes later. Busy for a Sunday but quickly the customers cleared once the music has finished.

The pub is found in Broadstairs, Kent, CT10 1ET.
Just up the hill from the harbour, a multi roomed pub now opened out, with a lot of character. The bar is ornate and wooden and the pub is in CAMRA's National pub inventory of unspoilt interiors. Closed for significant refurbishment in mid October 2018 upon retirement of long term licensees and re-opened in January 2019 with a significant emphasis on food and 5 handpumps.
We have visited this pub 28 times, seen 19 different beers and tried 14 of them.
