A very wet Friday afternoon and quite an effort to get here with having to wade through flooded subways, understandably the pub was quiet this afternoon. Well worth the effort of getting here.
Dark Star - American Pale Ale (some has also been brewed by Fuller's) | 4.70 | | Fantastic, the best pint that I have had of this for some time. |
Romney Marsh - Amber Ale | 4.20
Bespoke - The Kings Shilling | 4.20 | Not Tried

I almost turned round and left because there was a big sign in the door saying Closed, but fortunately they had just forgotten to turn it round when they opened. Sandwiches are good value at £2.50 so I had a BLT to accompany my pint. Camra discount on ales here, they also accept Wetherspoon vouchers.
Rockin Robin - RPA | 3.90 | | |
Lincoln Green - Hood Best Bitter | 4.20 | Not Tried
Kent - Sacred Grounds | 5.10 | Not Tried

Like the place in general good ale and seems to have settled in acquiring a solid stream of regulars along with a turn over of ale enthusiasts. I still find the location to be to its detriment if you are drinking in Maidstone you pretty much have to go out of your way to get here.
Crate - Golden Ale | 3.80 | | |
Bedlam - India Pale Ale | 4.80
Atom - Dark Matter | 4.50 | Not Tried
Cloudwater - Brown Ale | 4.80 | Not Tried

First visit. Fine selection of quality ales.
Kent - Prohibition | 4.80 | | Outstanding pint |
Tiny Rebel - Dirty Stop Out | 5.00 | | Top stout |
28 Dec 2015 (thebrewingman)
First ones in at lunchtime so we had plenty of opportunity to chat about beers (and cider). A few more drifted in later.
Dark Star - Hophead was 3.8% (some has also been brewed by Fuller's) | 3.40 | | Tasted far better than several I have had recently. Is it because it is well kept? |
Bristol Beer Factory - Milk Stout | 4.50 | | In excellent condition. |
Brighton Bier - Dealer's Choice IPA | 4.50 | | A very hoppy beer. Nice. |
19 Dec 2015 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening on 2nd day of opening. Very busy indeed with quite a few self-confessed ale and cider virgins. There will be arguments about if a Micropub can have such a large floor space. Very friendly and enthusiastic owners working flat out tonight. One criticism: needs some soft furnishings and / or sound absorbers on the walls as I found the noise of raised human voices painfully ear shattering at times.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 5 | 4.40 | | In superb nick |
Hopdaemon - Golden Braid | 3.70
Vale - Gravitas | 4.80 | Not Tried | Ran out |
Kent - Beyond the Pale | 5.40 | Not Tried | Replaced the Gravitas |
Mordue - Northumbrian Blonde | 4.00 | Not Tried
Burning Sky - Porter | 4.80 | Not Tried
18 Dec 2015 (Tobes)
3rd person served on opening day! Early impressions......not very homely few benches & tables in a vast area (for a micro) and thats about it. was hoping to see the walls adorned with local breweriana but is was not to be. beer was OK think it will take a while to get on my normal beer route.
Oakham - Inferno | 4.00 | | |
Burning Sky - Porter | 4.80 | | Replaced Christmas Angel. |
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 7 | 3.80
Dark Star - American Pale Ale (some has also been brewed by Fuller's) | 4.70
Sunny Republic - Christmas Angel | 4.00 | | Taken off due to complaints, I just about managed a half. |
Kent - Altered States | 4.70 | Not Tried
