4 pm visit to meet a cycling mate who had brought back my jacket from Penrith! I was very happy to buy him a couple of pints. Nicely busy.

Late lunchtime- took a short break from the “Hair” to check this out. Busy, warm and jolly - with a saxophonist getting ready to perform. Nice - but more than £1 a pint difference from across the road.

Hospital maternity wards kick you out between 1 and 3pm so I had some time to kill. What better way to kill time than visit a pub? This wasn't the pub I thought it was. Having driven though Minster some years back I remember the pub as having flint walls so I was a little suprised when I found it didn't. The inside was open plan with a large central horse-shoe bar.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Batemans - Summer Swallow3.90GoodIn good condition. Light hoppy beer with a slightly sulphorous flavour. Quite drinkable really.
