Late afternoon and quiet when we arrived but fairly busy by the time we left. The landlord who has been here for the last few years has gone to a larger Harvey's house and the place is currently being run by a holding manager.

19:15 visit. Another first visit this year and now hooked up with our two pals from Oop' North. They were suitably impressed with this place and enjoyed all the Harvey's range with vigour, as these ales are rare visitors to the North-West.

21:00 visit. At £5 a head, this was my choice of venue to see the 2012/13 new year in. A decent live band and a hot buffet on offer for the fair crowd that turned out, including our newest local brewer, Rockin Robin. A good three hours spent here to say farewell to 2012, albeit slightly disappointing, as not many I knew had turned up! Roll on 2013...

20:45 visit. Sanctuary at last? Proper Real Ale, in plentiful supply, and good service! Quite crowded tonite with a party group in, plus our LocAle brewer, Rockin Robin in too. We sat towards the rear and stayed until past mid-night...

The pub is found in Maidstone, Kent, ME15 6EU.
Two room pub on Upper Stone Street, a busy main road. Lots of old beams and comfy sofas. Re-opened on 18th October 2018 after an extended period of closure when its future seemed very uncertain. Now has one "free of tie" handpump in addition to the Harvey's range ones. Closed again in early 2021 and firmly closed ever since. Future must be seen as in doubt now.
