Met-up with Ian in the early evening. We watched the clientèle ebb and flow over about an hour. The service here is great as are the beers.

A friend of mine was back for the weekend so we headed to Canterbury for a little pub crawl. Ridiculously hot outside, this place with it's air-con was a breath of fresh air.

After the beer festival cleared out and we'd hung around watching people steal our cab outside it, we eventually made it to the Foundry. Busy with others from the beer festival by the looks of it. The member of staff who served me pro-actively asked if I was in CAMRA so I could benefit from the 10% discount. Both the beer and customer service here are excellent.

Brewery tap for Canterbury Brewers. The brewery is inside the building and may be viewed through an internal window. Upstairs and ground floor bars with the latter always open. 7 handpumps sported in each of the 2 bars. Substantial discount on real ales for Card carrying CAMRA members - at April 2013 this was 10% on own brewed beer - ask if there is a discount on food too as this is allegedly 10% too. Consists of two bar areas - one downstairs adjacent to the brewery and another up some steps to a mezzanine level. Originally located in White Horse Lane near the Cherry Tree pub. In addition to its excellent home brewed ales the pub is getting a reputation for tasty and good value food. Moved in October 2018 to a new location in Stour Street "lock stock and barrel".

We have visited this pub 144 times, seen 99 different beers and tried 74 of them.
