I had need of a visit to the shopping centre and took the opportunity to rehydrate in here. Ran in to Terry and Ray, which was nice.

Sunday evening after the crowds have gone. I spent time chatting with a friend who had enjoyed a day exploring the pubs of Sandwich and Deal and had just arrived back in Stratford on the Bullet Train.

Brief early evening visit. Not too busy despite a local athletics event. Keg beers here at amazingly rising prices, a Japanese one at £9.50pp and a 5.5% Arbor at £7.50. And people are buying!

A brand new pub opened on 13 September 2011 in the Westfield Shopping Centre at Stratford. It is directly opposite Stratford International railway station in what is called International Square, the pub contains a micro-brewery and stocks approximately 500 bottled beers. It is a sister pub to the Rake in Borough Market. 6 handpumps in 2 banks of 3 with one bank usually reserved for Tap East's own brews.
