04 Feb 2017 (Magnus Greel)
Mid evening and very quiet, just a couple of groups finishing off their drinks as a power failure had caused the pub to close early. I remarked to the staff the subdued emergency lighting improved the atmosphere 100%!
03 Feb 2017 (Philip Pirrip)
Early evening. As always using this pub as my Cape Canaveral for a launchpad into Kent by high-speed train.
| Siren Craft - Broken Dream Breakfast Stout | 6.50 | | Has TE's pricing policy changed, thought guests were not usually as highly priced as £4.90 pp. Superb beer though |
| Twickenham (also uses sub-brand Old Hands) - Gothick Dark | 4.60 | Not Tried | |
| Tap East - East End Mild | 3.50 | Not Tried | |
| Tap East - Tonic Ale | 3.00 | Not Tried | |
| Siren Craft - Sound Wave | 5.60 | Not Tried | |

I had reason to visit the shops at Stratford this-evening and passed a while in here before braving the cold walk home.
| Oakham - Bishops Farewell | 4.60 | | On excellent form here to remind me what a good beer this is. |
| Burning Sky - Plateau (was 3.5%) | 3.40 | | A lovely beer that is hard to resist when seen. |
| Tap East - East End Mild | 3.50 | Not Tried | |
| Tap East - Coffee in the Morning (has been 5.7% too) | 5.60 | Not Tried | |

09 Jan 2017 (Stephen Harris)
A quiet Monday evening session with Ray and Terry, until they rushed off for a Quiz League fixture at the Black Bull in Stratford.
| Thornbridge / Thornbridge Hall - Sequoia | 4.50 | | A really nice, tasty, US-style Amber. |
| Burning Sky - Plateau (was 3.5%) | 3.40 | | A reliably excellent, pale, hoppy thing. |
| Tap East - IPA | 6.00 | | A fresh brew and absolutely lush. |
| Bristol Beer Factory - Enigma | 4.40 | | I had muddled this with Kent Brewery’s Black IPA of the same name, so was surprised to find a red/brown beer in my glass. “Unexpected Item in Bagging Area”, as they say. Nice though, a tasty, mellow US-style Red. |
| Tap East - Coffee in the Morning (has been 5.7% too) | 5.60 | Not Tried | |
| Tap East - No. 6 Blonde | 4.10 | Not Tried | |
03 Jan 2017 (Stephen Harris)
Very quiet this-evening, with numbers in the pub never getting into double figures whilst I was here.
| Brighton Bier - West Pier | 4.00 | | A golden, fruity, bitter Pale Ale. |
| Tap East - No. 6 Blonde | 4.10 | | A nice, pale, Blonde beer with a bit of hop character. |

Mid-evening.
| Kirkstall - Three Swords | 4.50 | | A very nice, full-bodied Pale Ale with good hop flavours. |
| Tap East - East End Mild | 3.50 | | I rarely drink Mild. This is dark and smooth and creamy, but also just a bit insubstantial. |
| Ilkley - Mary Jane | 3.50 | Not Tried | |
| Tap East - Coffee in the Morning (has been 5.7% too) | 5.60 | Not Tried | |
| Tap East - A.P.A. (American Pale Ale) | 4.30 | Not Tried | |

24 Dec 2016 (Stephen Harris)
Christmas shopping done (I’ve discovered that if you wait long enough the crowds dissipate) and time for a couple in here.
| Brighton Bier - No Name Oatmeal Stout | 5.00 | | Black and creamy. A slightly sweet, Oatmeal Stout. |
| Alechemy - Photon IPA | 4.30 | | Golden. A well-balanced beer. |
| Tap East - East End Mild | 3.50 | Not Tried | |
| Tap East - Coffee in the Morning (has been 5.7% too) | 5.60 | Not Tried | |

19 Dec 2016 (Stephen Harris)
I did half think about doing some Christmas shopping, but as soon as the sheer scale of the overcrowding at Westfield shops became apparent I decided to spend my savings here on beer instead.
| Tap East - Tonic Ale | 3.00 | | An always reliable, low-strength, hoppy Pale Ale. |
| Saltaire - Saltaire Pride | 3.90 | | A decent enough, amber-coloured Bitter. |
| Tap East - Coffee in the Morning (has been 5.7% too) | 5.60 | Not Tried | |
| Arbor Ales - Blue Sky Drinking | 4.40 | Not Tried | |
| Gipsy Hill - Wayfarer | 4.60 | Not Tried | |
| Tap East - Boleyn Bitter | 3.80 | Not Tried | |
10 Dec 2016 (Stephen Harris)
Early evening meet up with Dave K, who is breaking a rail journey from Chatham to Peterborough. Pretty busy at this time. Beer quality here is usually faultless, but everything is in flat condition tonight – something amiss.
| Summer Wine (SWB) - Zenith Pale Ale | 4.00 | | Pale gold beer spoilt by flat condition. |
| Tap East - A.P.A. (American Pale Ale) | 4.30 | | Usual flavours dampened by flat condition. |
| Wylam - Single Hop Series: 003 Rakau | 4.40 | | I’m sure there is a great beer in here somewhere, but this pint not in great condition. |
| Tap East - No. 6 Blonde | 4.10 | Not Tried | |
| Five Points - Brick Field Brown | 5.40 | Not Tried | |
| Tap East - Red Rye | 5.00 | Not Tried | |
08 Dec 2016 (Stephen Harris)
Just passing through on my way home from Limehouse. Simon F is at the bar and we pass a pleasant half hour talking about new and forthcoming London breweries, of which there is a bewildering number.
| Bedlam - India Pale Ale | 4.80 | | An amber-coloured, British-style IPA brewed using English hops. A little disappointing – could have had more hop character in my view. |
| Tap East - A.P.A. (American Pale Ale) | 4.30 | Not Tried | |
| Tap East - No. 6 Blonde | 4.10 | Not Tried | |
| Tap East - Red Rye | 5.00 | Not Tried | |
