I had my return rail ticket from Borough Green so I thought that I would break my journey at a couple of places on the way back to Ashford. I haven't been here for a while and I really like this town. 5 years ago I would have been blown away by the beer line up, but now it's just run of the mill regionals. Pub is the same as ever. Rear patio for smokers. Some local Camra members came in whilst I was there.

The forth stop in the Canterbury, Whitstable and Herne Bay CAMRA branch's Mystery Bus Tour. Fairly busy as I recall. No Goacher's Dark on which was a shame. I'm sure they used to do it as a regular. Oh well. They had 5 beers on but I can't remember what they all were.

Only 2 customers (including me) on a late Friday lunchtime. 6 handpumps with a good range of beers on.

Came here with Martin for its summer beer festival. In the side room 16 casks were set up to dispense the festival beers on gravity. 3 more beers were available on hand pump. Fairly empty when we arrived early evening but soon filled up with customers spilling onto the street. I feel that the festival beers could have been kept better as the ones we tassted were not on top form. However, 10 out of 10 for the idea and effort
