Not too busy on a Sunday afternoon.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Little Cracker5.00ExcellentFull bodied dark ruby bitter with sweetish toffee malt flavours and some fruity hop for balance. My score 16/20.

Starting towards evening. Not many in, but tables being reserved for the evening eaters.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Castle Rock - Harvest Pale3.80AcceptableOK pint of completely adequate beer. Pump clip said that it had won some awards just lately, probably for being innocuous I suppose.
Timothy Taylor - Landlord4.30Not TriedPete's best pint up to this point - but the best was yet to come.

18 Aug 2012 (Blair)
Best beer garden I know of in this place. Other than a group of louts almost having a mass brawl this place was the perfect hideaway from the heat and the bustle of the centre.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Castle Rock - Harvest Pale3.80ExcellentWas slightly worried by how much the barman was having to pull on the handpump but the worry was proved unwarranted. Crisp and refreshing pale ale.
Hopdaemon - Skrimshander IPA4.50ExcellentTop notch.

Had been in Canterbury for lunch and decided to come here as it had a garden. We sat out the back until it rained and then sat in the back room. Nice pub.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Hopdaemon - Golden Braid3.70AcceptableBit too soapy in the mouth and a bit dull for this usually nice beer.

Came here as the bar staff in The Foundry gave it a glowing recommendation. It was absolutely heaving with people spilling out into the garden. My salmon and crab fishcakes were lovely as is their beer garden.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Hopdaemon - Golden Braid3.70GoodYup perfectly good pint of braid.

On finding this place I assumed it was my first visit, however I see I must have been here on 8th Oct last year, (probably had had a few by the evening! - I had already been to the Butcher's Arms :-) ) £1-80/half-pint seemed steep!
