23 Dec 2012 (Martin the Mildman)
Not too busy on a Sunday afternoon.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Little Cracker | 5.00 | | Full bodied dark ruby bitter with sweetish toffee malt flavours and some fruity hop for balance. My score 16/20. |
10 Nov 2012 (Brian)
Starting towards evening. Not many in, but tables being reserved for the evening eaters.
Castle Rock - Harvest Pale | 3.80 | | OK pint of completely adequate beer. Pump clip said that it had won some awards just lately, probably for being innocuous I suppose. |
Timothy Taylor - Landlord | 4.30 | Not Tried | Pete's best pint up to this point - but the best was yet to come. |
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 3 | 5.00 | Not Tried
Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried
20 Oct 2012 (Ian)
Mid Saturday afternoon and after looking through the window, I was delighted to see She Sells She Shells still on.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - She Sells Sea Shells | 4.70 | | Beer of the summer for me even if it is mid October. |
Timothy Taylor - Landlord | 4.30 | Not Tried
Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried
06 Oct 2012 (Eddie)
Busy here this afternoon
Castle Rock - Harvest Pale | 3.80 | | Superb :)
|
Hopdaemon - Golden Braid | 3.70 | | Not had this for a while and very nice it was to :) |
18 Aug 2012 (Blair)
Best beer garden I know of in this place. Other than a group of louts almost having a mass brawl this place was the perfect hideaway from the heat and the bustle of the centre.
Castle Rock - Harvest Pale | 3.80 | | Was slightly worried by how much the barman was having to pull on the handpump but the worry was proved unwarranted. Crisp and refreshing pale ale. |
Hopdaemon - Skrimshander IPA | 4.50 | | Top notch. |
Timothy Taylor - Landlord | 4.30 | Not Tried
13 Aug 2012 (Eddie)

Playing board games.
Castle Rock - Harvest Pale | 3.80 | | Tip top condition! |
01 Jul 2012 (Andrew)
Had been in Canterbury for lunch and decided to come here as it had a garden. We sat out the back until it rained and then sat in the back room. Nice pub.
Hopdaemon - Golden Braid | 3.70 | | Bit too soapy in the mouth and a bit dull for this usually nice beer. |
Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried
Exmoor - Ale | 3.80 | Not Tried
30 Jun 2012 (Blair)
Came here as the bar staff in The Foundry gave it a glowing recommendation. It was absolutely heaving with people spilling out into the garden. My salmon and crab fishcakes were lovely as is their beer garden.
Hopdaemon - Golden Braid | 3.70 | | Yup perfectly good pint of braid. |
29 Apr 2012 (Pedro)
On finding this place I assumed it was my first visit, however I see I must have been here on 8th Oct last year, (probably had had a few by the evening! - I had already been to the Butcher's Arms :-) ) £1-80/half-pint seemed steep!
Hopdaemon - Golden Braid | 3.70
Timothy Taylor - Landlord | 4.30
Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried
07 Apr 2012 (Martin the Mildman)
Busy with diners.
Timothy Taylor - Golden Best (was 3.5%) | 3.40 | | Best sample I've had for a long time. Sweet biscuity malt and a low hop rate with a fruity finish. My score 16/20. |
