Late evening visit. I was served a very short pint by a barman who promptly disappeared towards the kitchen. When he returned I asked for a top up and was told that "10% below is O.K." I did get a full measure after some effort but I am not impressed.

Saturday evening for a very quick pint before catching a train. A good pub atmosphere tonight. There were four cask ales on but they were all ones with weird flavours or others that I did not fancy so I settled for a good old Sheps.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter3.70ExcellentSuperb Master Brew.

Last pub before train home with a few of our group enjoying a pint here. Great atmosphere as usual in this proper drinkers pub.

I'm a rare visitor to the lovely city of Canterbury these days, but over many years I have tended to favour this pub. With good reason I think.

Late evening fairly busy as expected for this popular drinkers pub. We could've stayed around half hour longer had we known the train service was disrupted prior to our departure.

Lunchtime- my faith in this pub is restored. A pleasant couple of pints enjoyed with the soft hubbub of conversations ongoing around the bar.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Canterbury Brewers - Mosaic4.70ExcellentDelicious - great body.
Pig & Porter - Sky Without Sun4.50GoodStrange name - I half expected this to be cloudy (geddit?) but it was clear and very palatable. Badged as an American Amber ale.

Early evening - quite busy - but after an excellent pint I waited for 5 minutes to be served - landlord mainly preoccupied with his parcel business sideline - so I left. Was a 4th beer from Exmoor on - Exile Apollo chalked up on pump clip.

Early lunchtime- the pub now also serves as a delivery depot and I had to pick up a package. Would have been rude not to have a drink as well. Good beers and an interesting chat with a couple of regulars - they said it was the first time they had seen anyone picking up a package and having a drink there.
