Evening until 11pm close. Barman said it had been the busiest Wednesday for yonks. Unnecessary tinny music meant people were unfortunately raising their voices to speak.

Gun - Project Babylon Pale Ale4.60ExcellentA golden APA. Full-bodied and fruity (peaches and lychees). Dry finish.
Pressure Drop - Quebec Syrup Heist6.20ExcellentFrom key-keg. Dark brown in colour – a very rich Brown Ale. Has a maple/Demerara sugar sweetness but also a dry finish. Bitter. Complex.
Redchurch - On Skins Blueberry6.00ExcellentFrom keg or key-keg. A cloudy orange colour. Yummy. Sour. Lots of blueberry.

Early evening, but not overcrowded on a Monday.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Eight Arch - Urban Myth4.50ExcellentA really good, fruity, hoppy, golden pale Ale.
Kernel (The Kernel) - Pale Ale – Hallertau Blanc5.30ExcellentFrom key-keg. You can’t go wrong with The Kernel really. Cloudy pale gold, with intense Germanic hop flavours.

Early evening and rush hour busy in here.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Elusive - Overdrive (Lap 2: Zeus, Centennial & Citra)5.50ExcellentAmber in colour. Very full-bodied and flavoursome.
Fourpure - Galaxy5.70ExcellentA very nice Pale Ale on key-keg dispense. Galaxy hop is not quite as in-your-face as some brewers’ versions of this beer. And there is a little bit of caramel in the background too.

Early Sunday evening and quite relaxed in here.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Kent - Black Mirror4.50ExcellentNear black in colour. Either a well-hopped Stout or a rather dry Black IPA. The former I think.
Partizan - Porter5.60ExcellentFrom key-keg. After passing up on this one when at Partizan Brewery the previous day, I was pleased to get another chance here. Near black, smooth and fruity.

I had to return to Waterloo station this-evening as, after one day of active service, my new annual season ticket has already ceased to open the barriers and needs replacing. After that I needed a drink.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Alphabet - Flat White7.80ExcellentFrom key-keg. An interesting, cloudy golden/brown colour. ‘Interesting’ because this is a Stout. It has an intense roasted barley flavour, with lots of coffee tastes over an underlying milky creaminess. I don’t usually like anything that tastes of coffee, but this was really good.
Triple fff - Pressed Rat & Warthog3.80GoodDark brown. Much more flavoursome than is typical for a Mild. Some dry toastiness and a bit of a hop presence too.
Dark Star - Hophead was 3.8% (some has also been brewed by Fuller's)3.40Not Tried
Siren Craft - Broken Dream Breakfast Stout (superseded by 6.5% version)6.00Not Tried

Fealing very much poorer for having visited Waterloo Station to renew my annual season ticket. Felt I needed a drink.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Dancing Duck - Dark Drake4.50ExcellentBilled at this pub as a Porter, but tasted more like an Oatmeal Stout, and a good ‘un too.
Brew By Numbers - 21/03 Pale Ale: Citra Amarillo Mosaic5.20ExcellentOn key-keg dispense. I can’t resist a beer from this brewery, especially when it has such an appealing trio of hops.

A quick pint after touring the Christmas markets along the Southbank. It’s incredibly busy in here and I end up wedged into the little alleyway at the back with the smokers.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Heavy Industry - NOS Smoked Porter5.50ExcellentA very decent, smooth, dark, smoky Porter.
Redemption - Trinity3.00Not Tried
Gun - Parabellum Milk Stout4.10Not Tried
