During the early evening rush.
Acorn - Old Moor Porter | 4.40 | | A proper, black Porter. Really good chocolate, fruit and hop flavours. |
Pressure Drop - Street Porter | 4.50 | | From key-keg and nowadays brewed to 6.5%. Pretty fine. |
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - Steam Effort (Fuller's & Friends collaboration with Redemption) | 4.50 | | Seemingly now brewed at Fullers rather than at Redemption. Clear gold in colour. This has a full, almost creamy mouthfeel coupled with bitter hop flavours. Very nice. |
Acorn - Barnsley Gold | 4.30 | Not Tried
Adnams - Southwold Bitter | 3.70 | Not Tried
Siren Craft - Yu Lu | 3.60 | Not Tried

20 Aug 2018 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening visit until 11pm close. I really do like the pub's Arcoroc pint and half pint straight glasses with rounded bases. Good to see Turners Russet 8% cider on one of the 6 cask taps.

Adnams - Southwold Bitter | 3.70 | Not Tried
Pig & Porter - Dance First | 4.20 | Not Tried

Mid-evening visit after a day trip to Hastings. Pub very quiet at this time on a Sunday.
Hammerton - N7 | 5.20 | | Strong and full-bodied. |
Moor - Stout | 5.00 | | A great Stout. Dry and hoppy, with a touch of fruit. |
Kernel (The Kernel) - India Pale Ale – Centennial, Endeavour, Zeus, Vic Secret | 6.80 | | From key-keg. The Kernel are still the masters of this kind of thing. |
Redemption - Trinity | 3.00 | Not Tried

11 Jun 2018 (Stephen Harris)
Early evening after work. The new ‘garden’ area at the rear is proving popular tonight.
Siren Craft - Suspended in Magic | 4.00 | | A cloudy yellow colour. Fab. Ekuanot, Mosaic, Mandarina and Simcoe hops. Lovely. |
Harvey's - Wharf IPA | 4.80 | | A very nice addition to Harvey’s cask range. Amber/gold in colour. A nice balance of spicy and citrus hop flavours. |
Firestone Walker - Easy Jack IPA | 4.50 | | A yank import on keg, and it is a bit too fizzy as a consequence. Has all the expected West Coast hop flavours but at a sensible strength. |
Twickenham (also uses sub-brand Old Hands) - Grandstand Bitter | 3.80 | Not Tried
Adnams - Mosaic Pale Ale | 4.10 | Not Tried
Vale of Glamorgan (VOG) - Dark Matter | 4.40 | Not Tried

Early evening although seemingly after peak crowd tonight. Pleased to catch up at last with some of the Five Points Brewery anniversary special beers.
Five Points - Baltic Porter | 8.40 | | From key-keg and exceptionally good. Almost black in colour, Strong. Quite dry, but with an almost creamy mouthfeel. Coffee and nuts. |
Five Points - Hybrid DIPA | 8.70 | | From key-keg. Obviously strong. Hazy amber in colour. Bags of hops and a hint of brett I thought – it is after all a collaboration with Wild Beer. |
Vale of Glamorgan (VOG) - Speak Easy IPA | 4.60 | | Golden. A very dry IPA. |
Moor - Nor'Hop | 4.10 | Not Tried
Adnams - Mosaic Pale Ale | 4.10 | Not Tried

Shiny - Codebreaker | 6.70 | | A fruity IPA style, with hints of spicy Belgian yeast. |
