29 Aug 2021 (Andrew)
Busy with a guy in playing guitar. We ended up sitting on tables outside in a side alley.
Pig & Porter - Skylarking | 4.00 | | The beer was cloudy and tasted of weak orangeade. My guess is that it needed to condition a bit more. |
Iron Pier - Cast Iron Stout | 4.70 | Not Tried
Pig & Porter - All These Vibes | 5.30 | Not Tried
Iron Pier - Rosherville Red | 4.80 | Not Tried
15 Jul 2021 (ChrisE)
Two of us came here for a lunchtime pint, the place was busy but we were able to sit at some barrel tables at the end of the bar where we were able to enjoy some good conversation with the chap doing the table service. We stayed for longer than originally planned.
Dark Star - Hophead was 3.8% (some has also been brewed by Fuller's) | 3.40
Bexley - Black Prince Porter | 4.60
07 Jul 2021 (ChrisE)
Early afternoon, the pub was busy inside and outside in the garden area. The lady serving the beers was impressed with my Radio Caroline sweatshirt.
Bexley - Spike Island | 5.30 | | A good dark ale. I think Dosser would love this. |
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 5 | 4.40 | Not Tried
Hop Fuzz - Yellow Zinger | 3.70 | Not Tried

29 Mar 2019 (Philip Pirrip)
Early evening visit, my first here after walking straight past it on first pass. Friendly west Kent couple run it with enthusiasm for the real ale and cider scene. Micropub style but the size and layout do not fertilize cross-table conversations with strangers as much as some other micropubs.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - She Sells Sea Shells | 4.70 | | Good flavour and condition but loses a mark for being too chilled |
Northdown - Papworth Victory Best Bitter | 4.20 | Not Tried
27 Mar 2019 (Dosser)
First visit and a few in. Lots of plans for music nights. 2 real ales on at £3.50 a pint for low gravity bees, more than the average in Broadstairs micros.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Spread of Democracy | 5.30 | | This was on key Keg. A stout similar to Guinness. Very popular at £4, but served ice cold. Nice beer but marked down for extreme temp. |
