Busy with a guy in playing guitar. We ended up sitting on tables outside in a side alley.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Pig & Porter - Skylarking4.00PoorThe beer was cloudy and tasted of weak orangeade. My guess is that it needed to condition a bit more.

Two of us came here for a lunchtime pint, the place was busy but we were able to sit at some barrel tables at the end of the bar where we were able to enjoy some good conversation with the chap doing the table service. We stayed for longer than originally planned.

Early afternoon, the pub was busy inside and outside in the garden area. The lady serving the beers was impressed with my Radio Caroline sweatshirt.

Early evening visit, my first here after walking straight past it on first pass. Friendly west Kent couple run it with enthusiasm for the real ale and cider scene. Micropub style but the size and layout do not fertilize cross-table conversations with strangers as much as some other micropubs.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - She Sells Sea Shells4.70GoodGood flavour and condition but loses a mark for being too chilled
Northdown - Papworth Victory Best Bitter4.20Not Tried

First visit and a few in. Lots of plans for music nights. 2 real ales on at £3.50 a pint for low gravity bees, more than the average in Broadstairs micros.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Spread of Democracy5.30GoodThis was on key Keg. A stout similar to Guinness. Very popular at £4, but served ice cold. Nice beer but marked down for extreme temp.

The pub is found in Broadstairs, Kent, CT10 1NE.

In Albion Street, initially a micropub conversion from its previous existence as Reef restaurant. Opened in mid February 2019 selling real ales, ciders and keg beers, gins etc. Real ales sold through 3 handpumps on the bar counter and ciders through handpump and boxes in the fridge. Run by beer and cider enthusiasts from west Kent. Corner house with large picture windows on two sides. Furnished with high and low scrubbed top tables. Variety of traditional pub games available. Mainly sells Kentish real ales but from further afield too. In 2022 chose to rebrand itself as an ale house and no longer a micropub.

We have visited this pub 27 times, seen 51 different beers and tried 30 of them.
