Usual Friday evening crowd.
Shepherd Neame - 4-4-2 | 4.00 | | "The ten hop pint with a kick!". New on today and a new seasonal ale brought out for the current World Cup theme. I thought "ten hops" would be a bit ambitious for Shep's, but, it was a very nice ale, and sampled several tonite! |

Late evening visit. And a new beer found!
And well done Pedro. The Stile Bridge beer list looks very good! Off there this afternoon.
Holden's - Bottom Knocker | 4.70 | | Unbelievable, but a new ale from Holden's found here tonite? An excellant thirstquencher. Very refreshing, zesty and bright. Five pints devoured. Came on Thursday night, so get there soon! |

Arrived at 2130 and a good crowd enjoying St Georges Day. Pub was well decorated, a good all round effort indeed.
Shepherd Neame - Kent's Best | 4.10 | | In tip top condition. |
Shepherd Neame - Dragonfire | 4.50 | | New on for St Georges Day and a new brew that, according to the clip, came from Shep's oak mash tun. Certainly had a good all round taste, lots going on, which is very unusual for a Shep's ale!
Several pints downed and regulars enjoyed it as well. (Tried the bottled version at 4.0% in the pub as well, but wouldn't recommend it, not that good at all). |
22 Apr 2010 (Alenomore)
Nightcap time! For those that can make it, the Swan has put the St Georges day flags out and will be laying on some traditional English fayre during the daytime (Friday). Also, the Dragons Fire (Sheps I think) will be on as well. Give them your support!
Shepherd Neame - Kent's Best | 4.10 | | In tip top condition. |
