Drank Erdinger instead. Maybe should have stuck with Red McG. At least it would have been cheaper!

As I wrote before: I don't really get on well with a number of Highland beers - to me they can be thin, dry and grainy. This was one of them.

This was an odd one. Initial impression is of a competent golden ale but then you get hints of honey and rubber and the twang more usually associated with Belgian yeast. Should it really have tasted like this? It was served cool and in good condition. One was quite enough.

Clean and quite easy drinking for a modern US style pale ale.

Not to my taste. Dry and grainy. Limited evidence of hopping.
The pub is found in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, AB25 1BU.
An Aberdeen stalwart of real ale is now down to serving a single beer through the traditional tall font.
The lounge bar is probably the best and most atmospheric music venue in the city with a wide range of of jazz, blues, folk and more modern music.
Small, intimate public bar is a great place for a chat.
We have visited this pub 65 times, seen 23 different beers and tried 22 of them.
