Bank Holiday Monday afternoon - pleasantly quiet. Should really be named the Parcel Tongue this close to Platform 9 and 3/4.

Good Friday morning - quite busy, quite pricey. Only noted one bank of hand pumps another 6 spotted as I left.

16:15 As busy as usual. Much to my surprise the beer choice was virtually identical to my previous visit two weeks ago. The only exception being the change of Bengal Lancer for Front Row. As crowded as this pub gets I wonder if the majority of the clientele are not cask beer drinkers.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Twickenham (also uses sub-brand Old Hands) - Winter Cheer4.40PoorStarted well but the taste deteriorated as I worked down the pint. Left me with a nasty taste in my mouth that took a bottle of Scarlet Macaw when I got home to get rid of. Overall I would say the beer was stale. On sale too long and preserved with a cask breather perhaps.

Huge pub with the feel of a 19th century Indian hotel. I liked it.

I have 20 minutes in hand before a northbound train – time for a quick half in here (£2:07). It is relatively quiet at 5pm, before the evening rush hour picks up.
