8pm and, one month after my last posting from here, I've returned to see landlord Dave for the festive season. All is well, the pub is still spot on, quite a good crowd in plus, one of the League of Gentleman has turned up too? And, the Harvey's Christmas Ale is on. Say no more...and still the second best Real Ale pub in Maidstone?

Friday afternoon just before Christmas, a busy and enjoyable afternoon, and a place to shelter from the horrible weather outside. A pity about the Christmas music on the juke box though.

The pub is found in Maidstone, Kent, ME15 6EU.
Two room pub on Upper Stone Street, a busy main road. Lots of old beams and comfy sofas. Re-opened on 18th October 2018 after an extended period of closure when its future seemed very uncertain. Now has one "free of tie" handpump in addition to the Harvey's range ones. Closed again in early 2021 and firmly closed ever since. Future must be seen as in doubt now.
