1600 visit. Nice trio playing some good folk type music with bongos, sax and guitar. The Ales were pretty good too...this being my personal second best pub in the County Town.

1900 visit. 11 members of the local CAMRA branch met up here. We enjoyed the excellent Harvey's ales and then we all departed for a curry down town, which turned out to be an excellent meal too!

A lunchtime visit and a welcome return to the 2012 gbg for one of my favourite Maidstone pubs and an all round top Harvey's outlet. The live music from Greg MacDonald was very good and all the ales sampled by my partner and I were served in tip top condition.

Friday afternoon, we had a good chat with the landlord, and read his copy of a book entitled "Kentish Inns - A Distillation" which I enjoyed so much that I purchased a second hand copy as soon as I got home.

The pub is found in Maidstone, Kent, ME15 6EU.
Two room pub on Upper Stone Street, a busy main road. Lots of old beams and comfy sofas. Re-opened on 18th October 2018 after an extended period of closure when its future seemed very uncertain. Now has one "free of tie" handpump in addition to the Harvey's range ones. Closed again in early 2021 and firmly closed ever since. Future must be seen as in doubt now.
