Relaxed feel to this pub. Clearly a band coming on this evening given the music equipment in the corner.
Harvey's - Knots of May Light Mild | 3.00 | | Unbelievably good light mild. Fresh as a daisy sparkling with hoppy bitterness on the finish. So good. |

Good atmosphere from the locals. However the landlord was serving pints with big heads and argued when my friend asked to top up his beer. Eventually he managed to put an extra mm of beer in when I insisted it was topped up. I will try to avoid this pub in future despite the good beer.

My bike needed mending, so I popped into The Pilot first on a bit of a crawl of Maidstone and bumped into Richard who I'd met at the Flower Pot during the Jaipur Saturday a few weeks ago. We sat and talked about beer and bikes.
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter | 4.00 | | First pint disappeared really quickly excellent. Richard moved onto this later and thought it was as good as he had drunk it for some time. |
Harvey's - Old Ale (or Sussex XXXX Old Ale) | 4.30 | | Very fresh. Decent flavours, but lacked a bit of character that it will develop in the next few weeks. |
Harvey's - Star of Eastbourne | 5.50 | | Not in the best of nick maybe but the big whack of hops saved it. |
Harvey's - XX Dark Mild (or Sussex XX Mild) | 3.00 | Not Tried
Harvey's - Armada Ale | 4.50 | Not Tried

My first visit here since Matt & Gina left, way back then! Nice enough couple running it now. Busy this visit at 4pm with some good live music from a Bluesy/folksy type solo artist. A few familiar faces spotted. Quality food menu noted and the Harvey's ales were all on top form. Think I'll have to get back into this pub!
Harvey's - Old Ale (or Sussex XXXX Old Ale) | 4.30 | | This is superb, there seasonal for the autumn. An excellent dark and delicious ale. |
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter | 4.00 | | Excellent session bitter. |
Harvey's - XX Dark Mild (or Sussex XX Mild) | 3.00 | | A top mild ale. |
Harvey's - Armada Ale | 4.50 | | Very tasty. |
Harvey's - Olympia | 4.30 | | Good value, being sold off at £2.50 a pint! |
