Although the sign on the door said closed at 3pm, we still managed to get a couple of drinks in before the landlord closed up for the afternoon. Stood at the bar talking about Harvey's and beers and stroking another customer's dog.

This was my first visit since Matt and Gina left. It still has a good range of Harvey's beers, but finding Fullers London Porter was a surprise.

Otherwise quiet if it were not for the visit of the "Weekly Windup" Thursday evening mild drinkers club.

Now my favourite pub in Maidstone. I mean the guy didn't know us from Adam, but still went down to the cellar twice to look for bottles of the Christmas Ale and Imperial Stout for us. Ok, he had neither, but I didn't care as we were singing along to Faith No More on the jukebox.

The pub is found in Maidstone, Kent, ME15 6EU.
Two room pub on Upper Stone Street, a busy main road. Lots of old beams and comfy sofas. Re-opened on 18th October 2018 after an extended period of closure when its future seemed very uncertain. Now has one "free of tie" handpump in addition to the Harvey's range ones. Closed again in early 2021 and firmly closed ever since. Future must be seen as in doubt now.
We have visited this pub 76 times, seen 27 different beers and tried 23 of them.
