Took a POETS afternoon and came to Tunbridge Wells in the hope of finding some Larkins Porter and failed. Came to the Opera House to see what it is like and very impressive interior, the ceiling in particular above the stalls. I sat on the stage and typed this.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Theakston - Old Peculier5.60GoodAlways worth having. Some wood shavings, some perfume, but mostly a solid old ale. Good chewy malts.
Weltons - Yang Metal Tiger4.10PoorI swore myself off Weltons beer for this reason. Bleach and hop. Couldn't finish a half pint.

Pleased to report a better beer range here with three guests on and more staff serving so no long waits on a Sunday lunchtime.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Warwickshire - Churchyard Bob4.90AcceptablePredominately malty with hints of peardrops and a tangy aftertaste. My score 14/20 (only just).

Caught this on a quiet Sunday morning when there were no long waits for service, a reasonable selection of beers on and a quick delivery of a passable breakfast.

Ramsbury - Hells Highway3.80AcceptableRuby/brown mild style beer. Hint of smoked malt, little hop character and a dryish malty finish. My score 14/20.
