Great service from 2 newish members of the team. Well done!
BeerABVScoreNotes
Stone - Arrogant Bastard (keg)7.20ExcellentBooming hops, testing bitterness, great beer.
Southern Tier - 2xipa (keg)8.20AcceptableStrangely muted - didn't drink as a Double at all.
Stone - Oaked Arrogant Bastard (keg)7.20Not TriedSpoiled for choice.

23 Nov 2011 (McGargle)
Quick beer before meeting other friends.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Port Brewing - Wipeout IPA (keg)7.00ExcellentWell balanced and subtle IPA. Flavour and mouthfeel build from a gentle base. Fruity drying finish.
16 Nov 2011 (McGargle)
Keen, friendly service.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ballast Point - Calico Amber (keg)5.50AcceptableSubtle pine and fruit on the nose then an initial burst of light hops which quickly dies in the mouth leaving nothing but a faintly bitter finish. Maybe 2* really.

Busy. Staff on top form.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Stone - Sublimely Self Righteous IPA (keg)8.70ExcellentAfter that fruity nose it is surprisingly mild in the mouth until those tropical flavours kick in. Medium bodied and long drying finish. Served with limited carbonation and at around 9degC this was seriously good ale.

Busy mid-evening. Now gone up to 12 taps. Problem of over-chilled, too gassy beer resurfaced.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Stone - IPA (keg)6.90Acceptable2* for serve: way too cold and gassy. 4* for the beer. Bold flavoursome and assertive this is a great beer. Come on BrewDog do it justice.

Not been in for a while so good to see the service was still spot on.
BeerABVScoreNotes
BrewDog - Chaos Theory (keg)7.10AcceptableNot as subtle as early brews - might struggle now to identify Nelson Sauvin as the lead hop. Quite harsh mouth feel.
Stone - Double Bastard (keg)11.20AcceptableBeen looking forward to this but it seemed tired. Clear alcohol, loads of mixed up flavours - no defined lead from either hops or malt.

Busy but great service.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Kernel (The Kernel) - Citra IPA (keg)7.20ExcellentPine and tropical aromas. Bittersweet on the tongue. Solid malty background showcased candied citrus peel, fresh grass and resins. Long finish. A beer to sip and enjoy.
05 Oct 2011 (McGargle)
Filled up quickly.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Stone - Ruination (keg)7.70ExcellentUncompromising Double IPA. Booming hops on the nose. A little sweetness before those resinous tropical fruits kick in, perfectly balanced by the malts. Stridently bitter with drying finish.

Busy. Launch of Ghost Deer.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Stone - Cali-Belgique IPA (keg)6.90AcceptableStone IPA brewed with Belgian yeast overlays the clean, crisp IPA with Saison's character. Falls between 2 stools - not a great success.
