| Mikkeller - Black Hole Tequila Barrel Aged (keg) | 13.10 | | Opaque black with thick, long lasting coffee head. Intense sweet herbal and roasty aroma. Dark chocolate/fruit and earthy flavours. Full bodied but evaporated on the tongue. Let down, for me, by the sweet finish. |

Busy. Other Aberdeen bars could do themselves a favour by trying to emulate the enthusiastic, knowledgeable service which Brew Dog achieves effortlessly.

Fair crowd in early evening for amplified acoustic music. Somehow the 60's, 70's retro-music seemed at odds with Brew Dog's punk image.

| Southern Tier - Hop Sun (keg) | 5.10 | | Designed as almost a session ale this is a clear wheat beer which is orange in the glass. A little thin in body and flavour against other Brew Dog offerings. In another bar this might merit 4* but here we're spoilt. |

| BrewDog - Alice Porter (keg) | 6.20 | | Initially too cold and gassy it was decanted into another glass a few times and revealed itself as an excellent porter. Solid body with delicious hints of chocolate and vanilla. Long dry finish. |

Gone were the seductive charms of Nelson Sauvin against well judged malt. Less balanced/less enjoyable than previous versions. Major disappointment. |

The pub is found in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, AB25 1EB.
BrewDog's first bar and well worth the wait. Tidy, minimalist decor. As you'd expect plenty of rough brick and unpainted steel. Limited food at the moment but 6 beers all on keg plus a range of import beers at champagne prices.
