Jammed. Staff were on good form; enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Top marks for encouraging people to try before buying.
Port Brewing - Wipeout IPA | 7.00 | | Massively hopped Double IPA. Good malt balance and lots of tropical fruity. Slightly sweet finish. Moreish. |
Stone - IPA (keg) | 6.90 | | Golden in the glass with a deep bitterness and some grapefruit hinted at the original Punk but without the malt depth. |
BrewDog - Trashy Blonde (keg) | 4.10 | Not Tried
BrewDog - Hardcore IPA (keg) | 9.20 | Not Tried
BrewDog - 5AM Saint (keg) | 5.00 | Not Tried

15 Jun 2011 (McGargle)
Very quiet. Maybe, just maybe, the novelty of over-chilled, over-carbonated beer is wearing off.
BrewDog - Trashy Blonde (keg) | 4.10 | | Much better. Lighter in colour, hoppy on the nose and on in the mouth. Long clean finish. Can stand being chilled but 5 deg.C is too cold. |
BrewDog - Trashy Blonde (keg) | 4.10 | | Last of one keg, first of the next. Darker than usual, harsher almost metallic flavour overpowered the hops. Oh, and over-carbonated. |

BrewDog - Riptide (keg) | 8.00 | Not Tried
BrewDog - Alice Porter (keg) | 6.20 | Not Tried

Busy. Thought the problems of over-carbonation and over-chilling had been addressed but not if the Saint was anything to go by.
Stone - Arrogant Bastard (keg) | 7.20 | | Expected to be more impressed and it did improve with swirling in the glass. Deep amber with short beige head. Some pine on the nose with subtle resinous hops in the mouth. Dryish finish. |
BrewDog - 5AM Saint (keg) | 5.00 | | Over-carbonated and over-chilled it had none of the expected booming resinous flavours. Just felt slightly acidic in the mouth. |

BrewDog - Hardcore IPA (keg) | 9.20 | Not Tried

Busy. Staff knew their beers.

Feel that Brew Dog is missing Bruce's enthusiasm and drive behind the bar. Good crowd of, mostly, early thirties males.
Chilling and carbonation more to my taste than on some previous visits.
Mikkeller - Koppi IPA (keg) | 6.90 | | Poured a hazy burnt orange. Loads of pine on the nose. Taste hints at coffee, pine, floral. Semi-sweet finish. |
BrewDog - 77 Lager (keg) | 4.90 | Not Tried
BrewDog - Hardcore IPA (keg) | 9.20 | Not Tried
Mikkeller - Beer Geek Breakfast (keg) | 7.50 | Not Tried

BrewDog - Alice Porter (keg) | 6.20 | Not Tried
BrewDog - Royal Virility Performance (keg) | 7.50 | Not Tried | Containing Viagra and horny goat weed apparently. |

Quiet. Staff, whilst knowledgeable, didn't have quite the enthusiasm I've come to expect here.
Stone - Sublimely Self Righteous IPA (keg) | 8.70 | | A black IPA. Huge hop nose and smooth and flavoursome in the mouth. Improved significantly as the excess carbonation dispersed. I'me beginning to wonder if serious drinkers should bring a swizzle stick to BrewDog. |
Mikkeller - It's Alive! | 8.00 | Not Tried | In keg, (of course) |
BrewDog - Hardcore IPA (keg) | 9.20 | Not Tried

10 Mar 2011 (McGargle)
Busy. Staff know their stuff.
BrewDog - Trashy Blonde (keg) | 4.10 | | Again a driving bitterness which I applaud but over-carbonated. Should be easy to adjust. |
BrewDog - Punk Monk (keg) | 5.40 | | Nearer 'Poor'. This is the all snout and no trousers (new) Punk with a Belgian yeast. Still way too sweet. |
BrewDog - Hardcore IPA (keg) | 9.20 | Not Tried
BrewDog - 5AM Saint (keg) | 5.00 | Not Tried
BrewDog - Punk IPA (keg) | 5.40 | Not Tried

03 Mar 2011 (McGargle)
Busy again. In fact so busy that we couldn't get to the bar.
24 Feb 2011 (McGargle)
Busy as always.
Camden Town - Pale Ale (keg) | 4.50 | | Served in a tall glass it looked great - light straw with a loose white head. Some hints of citrus. Very clean in the mouth. Perfectly drinkable but not a lot going on. |
BrewDog - 77 Lager (keg) | 4.90 | Not Tried
BrewDog - Hardcore IPA (keg) | 9.20 | Not Tried

17 Feb 2011 (McGargle)
Busy, friendly sort of place. Great staff.
BrewDog - 5AM Saint (keg) | 5.00 | | Somehow muted and toned down from the booming, exuberant beer it was. Not a patch on previous versions. Another recipe change? |
BrewDog - Hello My Name is Ingrid (keg) | 8.50 | | This is described as a cloudberry IIPA but this translates as a pleasant but undemanding light IPA with good citrus flavours and very moreish finish. |
BrewDog - IPA is Dead, Bramling Cross (keg) | 7.50 | | Pleasant enough but this single hop brew needs more support from the malts. Bit boring really. |
BrewDog - Mikkeller I Hardcore You (keg) | 9.50 | | Overly carbonated, unpleasantly agressive in the mouth with an unpleasant, almost astringent finish. A mess really. |
