Mid afternoon. Busy outside, just us inside. An excellent micro-pub, my favourite of the day.

Evening. Low tide so lots of lovely seaweedy whiffs in the slight breeze. Minor criticism - would be good idea to always show the brewery name on the real ales menu blackboard. Good steady queue to order drinks to take outside - we were virtually the only ones staying inside. There was a classic cars convention of some sort on the harbour arm - all good nostalgia from when cars WERE cars.

I really like this place, and my planned one pint turned in to three. The pub was benefiting from the exceptionally good weather and the fact that the other pub on the pier does not open on Mondays. A really mixed crowd, I have never seen so many young ladies using a micro-pub, I think we old fogies were well and truly outnumbered.

A pint on the harbour arm looking across the beach. What more could you want on a summers day. Will be interesting in the winter

Couple of people in - including the chap that hopes to open a new micro pub in Northdown Road Cliftonville - he hopes to call it the Tap Room.

Tuesday lunchtime on a glorious sunny day, a good number of people walking along the pier. Most of the pub's customers were sitting outside enjoying the sunshine, we were the exception.

Evening. Most refreshing to drink in the harbour although the tide was out! Large group arrived and indulged in much laughter. Will be interesting to drink here in a storm or any bad weather.

Friday lunchtime on an overcast day. There were not many people about and the beach was almost deserted. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there are two pubs on the pier, but this is the one that I came to visit, a true micro-pub. I liked it a lot.

My second visit to this Thanet's newest micro pub, my first being on opening night when the plumber was still working to get the sink in. The pub is housed in two small former fishermen's workshops that have be knock into one. The beers are housed in a cool room at the back of the pub. The pub has no toilet patrons using public toilets next door. Three beers were on offer. Landlady stated that they had a super opening weekend, with them running low on beer.

The pub is found in Margate, Kent, CT9 1AP.

Micropub initially housed in two former fishermen's workshops and nets / lobster pots store (Units 7 & 8) about two thirds along on the town's stone pier, opened over Whitsun Bank Holiday Weekend 2013. Seating was a mixture of 3 high tables with high stools and some normal height tables and chairs. An attractive high back settle was constructed against one wall. Electric piano usually covered up. Casks of real ale and cider boxes were housed in a cooled room in the corner and visible through a viewing window. Walls were raw brick some of which were painted in a sea green and supporting metal girders are visible. No toilets inside the pub so use the public ones next door. Outside seating allows a picturesque view of the harbour and the sandy beached bay. In May 2015 it moved into the larger neighbouring unit (Unit 9). Most of the former unit's interior fittings and fixtures have moved into the new unit which now houses a larger cool cellar room at the side.

We have visited this pub 70 times, seen 108 different beers and tried 69 of them.
