28 Jun 2021 (Magnus Greel)
Late afternoon not long after 17.00 opening until 20.00ish departure, friendly welcome for my first and long overdue visit. Fairly quiet just a small group and one other upon arrival however many folk came and went during my stay. Regular scribes can only share my anguish on not finding Doom Bar available here.
Musket - Fife & Drum Golden Ale | 3.80 | | Refreshing hints of citrus made for a perfect summer session ale |
House Beer - Pond Life | 3.60 | | Toasty peaty and subtle molasses |
Musket - Ball Puller | 4.00 | | Slight sweetness lead to a bitter yet smoky hoppy finish for this complex ale, I treated myself to another before departure |

Musket - Powder Burn | 5.00 | Not Tried

19 Jun 2021 (Philip Pirrip)
A cool and breezy walk up from Eltham railway station for an evening visit until close. Only customer at first but someone else came in for a whisky and conversation turned to religion!

Mid evening visit. Very well attended Auld Lang Syne session before Lockdown from tomorrow.
Goacher's - 1066 Old Ale | 6.70 | | As yesterday this 11 month old (stored here) was exceptional. Tempting and resulting in a take-away for Lockdown home consumption |

03 Nov 2020 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening visit until curfew close, prompted by an email received from the Guv advising (like a siren beckoning one on to the rocks) of a 1066 Old cask being broached tonight.
Goacher's - 1066 Old Ale | 6.70 | | Nectar and perfect. 11 month old cask fresh on, smooth and innocently belying its true strength. Damn curfew closing time |

29 Oct 2020 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening visit until curfew close. My first visit since the end of lockdown. Very impressive use of transparent plastic sheeting to create separated seating pods. The venue has taken distancing precautions more seriously than any other house I have visited so far. Good to see Guv Mike. Soon felt pretty much like the home of old.
Hop Fuzz - Martello (superseded by 4.4% then 4.5% versions) | 3.80 | | Best of the evening. Basic mid-brown hopped bitter |
Kent - Prohibition | 4.80 | | In excellent nick but oooooh sooooooo much raw edge bitterness. Maybe time has made me forget but I don't recall this being so viciously bitter |
House Beer - Pond Life | 3.60 | | Still at the old £3 price |
Pig & Porter - Skylarking | 4.00 | Not Tried
