A first class pub, I enjoyed my visit here (although I did notice that I was missed out when a bowl of roast potatoes was passed around perhaps I looked sufficiently well-fed already).

17:00 visit. A short bus ride from nearby Hythe found me visiting lovely Sandgate, a very pleasant seaside town. Again, not been here since early childhood. The pub itself was excellant, a "hidden gem" I was told, and so it was, and well worth finding. An ex Shep's house by all accounts and some very good ales on too. Nice crowd in and a friendly landlord.
