16:00 visit. The band, Wildfire, were just starting up, top class too, had the pub rocking. Some good ales and good company in this often underated and current gbg.

A good old fashioned type in Boxley Road. Two rooms with some very nice etched windows with the corner doors pertaining to the "Jug Department"! Old interior and furniture and a semi-circular bar. Easily found at the lower end of Boxley Road near the Prison. Sold by Shepherd Neame at auction summer 2019.
