The pub is found in Boughton Monchelsea, Kent, ME17 4JD.
An Elizabethan chocolate box rural style pub in Heath Road. Exposed beams and inglenook fireplaces underline the charm of the pub which is thought to date from 1568, according to the date on the chimney breast found in the attic. At different times, three clairvoyants have identified a ghost named George!
The pub played a supporting role to Leeds Castle in the 1949 dark Ealing comedy film Kind Hearts and Coronets which starred Alec Guinness in eight roles as different members of the d'Ascoyne family.
