Mid afternoon to early evening, friendly welcome from the jovial barmaid, quiet upon arrival but was standing room only by the time we left. Great atmosphere to be had in this pub.

Mid evening and busy, we found a table by the entrance. I decided to leave the group here as I'd overdosed on the high ABV stuff earlier!

Mid afternoon and quiet when we arrived however a large group arrived during our stay and gathered around the bar area. Friendly welcome from the Guv and top ups offered without prompting.

Lunchtime and we were probably the first customers. One of our group proudly showed us some envelopes that had been addressed by Charles Dickens and a pre-penny post letter as an example of cross writing which was common in those days, the writer was impressed with his trip on the new Liverpool and Manchester railway with speeds of up to 30mph. Some other customers arrived and had some appetising food delivered from the cafe opposite the pub.

late afternoon Easter Monday - no one in and looked very neglected with handwritten "cash sales" only notices up; dirty glasses - could not believe that this was the same pub I eulogised over a couple of months ago. I hope it is not going under.

This pub draws a somewhat Bohemian sort of crowd on a Friday evening, and is quite busy tonight.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Brodie's - London Fields Pale Ale4.00ExceptionalA strikingly good, hoppy, pale ale – as good a pint as I have drunk anywhere this year. Lingering juicy hop taste.
Brodie's - Bethnal Green Bitter4.00ExcellentAs a basic session bitter, this is way above average. Amber in colour with fruity malt and subtle hoppiness.
