The pub is found in Southwark, Central London, SE1 9UD.

This pub was built in 1977, when the whole area was redeveloped, to replace the Cross Keys & Railway Hotel, which had stood here by Blackfriars Bridge since at least 1851. It is a large pub with river frontage. The main bar is at ground floor level and has riverside pavement tables at the front and a large patio garden to the rear. There are additional bars and private dining rooms on four more floors. The pub is named after the prize presented by Thomas Doggett for a 300 year old Thames rowing race. The main bar has 10 handpumps in 2 banks, each of 5.

We have visited this pub 8 times, seen 51 different beers and tried 13 of them.
