Busy with wet sales, just a few diners. They could have done with another member of staff but those that were on were working hard and very cheerful. Thanks to a lack of coffee orders waiting time for service was not too long.

Late-afternoon and it was a trial to find any pubs open. This one was packed, and there were at least two groups that you would want to sit well away from. It took ages to get served. Quiet upstairs though.

Just a quick half whilst awaiting a bus from the stop outside. Busy, with a heavy security presence and a somewhat tense atmosphere. This pub is definitely “on the other side of the road” from the Cock Tavern.

A quick half in here before getting my bus home. Came in on the strength of a rumour that the Adnams Mosaic Pale Ale was on sale here. It wasn’t.
