Evening visit and soon enticed to add to the number of servers behind the bar which is most enjoyable here with a really superb bunch of visiting punters. Great fun for all. A unique venue with a unique range of strong ales brought together under its roof.

My very first stint on the other side of the bar at a beer festival. Good fun but knackering after a 7 hour stint. Good to see Andrew and a number of other familiar faces. Angels and Demons crew were drinking their own beers dry. Just listed the few I tried.

White Cliffs Festival of Winter Ales. 27th anniversary of this winter festival held in the atmospheric Maison Dieu Town Hall. A 2 day (Friday and Saturday) festival with 70 or so beers which are all winter and strong ales on gravity, all 5.0% abv or higher, at graduated prices of £3.50 and £3.90 per pint (the first time there has been a stepped pricing structure). The glasses' theme this year is Bleriot's 1909 flight. A Dover tradition.
