Stephen HarrisExcellent11 Oct 2016 One of my favourite London-brewed beers, available here from key-keg. Black, with a brownish head. Rich and smoky.

Martin the MildmanExcellent28 Jun 2012 Brown smoked porter with good malt character and a smooth well rounded mouthfeel. Gentle smokiness in the finish. My score 16/20 with B for quality as served too warm.

Stephen HarrisExceptional26 Jun 2012 I had a bottle-conditioned version of this porter. It is black, with a tight, tan head. Smoky aroma. There are sweet malts and liquorice, but the overriding flavour is a woody, winey, smokiness. If I was told it had been aged in a wooden barrel I would have believed it – but apparently it hasn’t. This has the makings of a truly great beer.
