ChrisEExcellent16 Jul 2010 This was the beer of the evening, all of our group rated this very highly. A well balanced tan coloured ale.

The Bull, Woolwich, Greater London

Philip PirripAcceptable26 Sep 2014 A bit too fresh with some haze. Well well David Bruce is getting his new "acquisition's" beers around a bit with his usual verve and commercial nous. There are branded glasses and there are beer mats for Good Old Boy on every table

BlairAcceptable01 Feb 2011 Didn't seem in great nick. Malty and a bit biscuity but had no body to it.

BlairGood26 Feb 2010 Yeah a nice traditional bitter. Nothing fancy but does the job well. Malty with a fruity bready flavour, I liked it.

The Evening Star, Brighton, East Sussex

IanAcceptable03 Mar 2007 Copper colour with thin beige head. Yeast, dry malt aroma, little bit toasty. Good condition, if a little fizzy. It's a slightly malty best bitter. Condition adds to the hop tingle on finish. It's a competent if not startling bitter.
