Beer | ABV | Score | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Rother Valley - Smild | 3.80 | Dark brown mild with sweetish malt flavours. Seems to have picked up a "Harvey's" yeasty flavour. My score 16/20. | |
Rother Valley - Englands Best | 4.00 | Golden ale with a well rounded mix of malt and hop flavours. Also with a "Harvey's" yeasty flavour. My score 16/20. | |
Wylam - Admiral Lord Collingwood (previoulsy Collingwood Festival Ale) | 4.10 | Pale with quite a lot maltiness in the flavour. A little hop bitterness in the finish. My score 15/20. | |
Old Dairy (being contract brewed after it closed) - Blue Top | 4.80 | Strong copper coloured bitter with strong citrus hop flavour and some malt balance. Dryish hoppy finish. My score 15/20. | |
Salopian - Renaissance | 5.00 | Strong pale ale with good hop character, some citrus flavours and quite a high bitterness. Dryish, hoppy finish. My score 15/20. | |
Houston - Helgas Big Jugs | 5.00 | Pale strong bitter with sweetish tangy hop character and a bittersweet fruity finish. My score 15/20. | |
Royal Tunbridge Wells - Royal Best Bitter | 4.10 | Quite dry and bitter tasting traditional style bitter. A little too one dimensional for my taste. My score 14/20. |

Beer | ABV | Score | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Houston - Helgas Big Jugs | 5.00 | Pale gold, lasting white head. Lots of german hops, huge amount of hops. Really tasty earthy german hops on finish. Great condition. Hops are outstanding. Now that is good | |
Salopian - Renaissance | 5.00 | Good blond hoppy beer, in excellent condition. | |
Little Valley - Python IPA | 6.00 | Bit too syrupy on the malts, bit uncultured, some harsh English hop on finish. Bit sweet. I do quite like the hops on the finish, but ultimately too syrupy. |

The pub is found in Tenterden, Kent, TN30 6HE.
Beer festival that used to be at the Rare Breeds Centre in Woodchurch. Same kind of marquee in the steam railway station grounds. Around 50 real ales on gravity with around 20 ciders and perries and 3 French bottled organic beers. Chance to have a ride on the K&ESR. Music, Food and Morris Men.
We have visited this pub 4 times, seen 56 different beers and tried 18 of them.
