Mid afternoon and busy with diners and drinkers and more arriving during our 50 minute stay the bus timetable allowed us. Friendly and welcoming the busy lone landlady coped well with the orders and even had time for some banter in between.

Lunchtime visit for a Birthday meal. Few in when we arrived but a number had come in by the time we left. We had a very tasty sirloin steak and the service was good.

We capitalised on the £2 single bus cap and decided to visit here after the Flying Horse with most convenient bus stops right outside the pub. Friendly late afternoon welcome with just the two cask ales on offer but local Kent brews and both in excellent condition.
