Earlyish evening. Walked here from the station and past 5 other pubs in the street, including the Faversham ‘spoons. It was noticeable that Furlongs was by far the most inviting and probably the busiest.

Early evening. Very busy - good to see. I noticed the landlord disappear downstairs - this micro has a proper cellar!

Early evening. Busy - had a good chat with some regulars including Tyler, brewer for Angels and Demons. The covered area to the rear was getting well used.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Kent - Prohibition4.80ExcellentFresh on as the Citra ended. Top class.
Angels & Demons (now uses McCanns branding not its own) - Goldilocks is Dead5.30ExcellentSo good - even though the brewer confesses that they were now using hop pellets for this brew.
Kent - Citra4.50GoodNear the end of the barrel - but very drinkable.

Pub 3. The bartender was informative in a machine-gun delivery sort of way. Bar area pretty full just after 1 pm but a larger covered garden area provided further space. 4 key keg ales on as well.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Pig & Porter - Whispering Grass5.50ExcellentFull bodied in great condition.
Salopian - Oracle4.00Not Tried
Bristol Beer Factory - Milk Stout4.50Not Tried
Wiper and True - Bitter4.70Not TriedPoured a half - but wouldn’t serve it, end of barrel.

Lunchtime visit - nicely busy and much cosier than the Creeker’s. I was offered a seat next to a couple of locals and enjoyed some good banter with them. Four good value cask ales on (£3.70 to £4.10).
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Dark Conspiracy4.90AcceptableThis may have rated a “good” score - but as a dark beer with a good ABV I was rather disappointed by the lack of flavour and body. Went down easily all the same.

Very quiet in this usually busy micro, perhaps the weather was putting people off? Even more reason to go to the pub I say 🍺👍

Garden was busy by 1pm so we sat inside which also became fully occupied by late afternoon. Potential customers queuing outside only to be told the pub was at full capacity in these Covid times. Amazingly the one member of staff on manages to greet and take details at the door, serve, do table service inside and out, clean and change casks all on her own and the service is excellent, other establishments take note!
BeerABVScoreNotes
