Dark Star - Sussex Extra Stout4.50ExcellentExcellent sweetish toffee and chocolate malt flavours, balanced by a good hoppy finish. My score 16/20.
Adnams - Irish Dry Stout4.00GoodKept in the cellar for 6 weeks to give an even more enhanced dry roast malt flavour. Just a hint of hop in the finish. My score 15/20.

BeerABVScoreNotes

16 Feb 2010 (Martin the Mildman)
Very busy here on a Tuesday evening for a special tasting event.
BeerABVScoreNotes
BrewDog - Tactical Nuclear Penguin15.00ExcellentABV goes off the scale at 32% for this freeze distilled brew. This was only consumed in a 10ml sample courtesy of the bar staff here. The dominated taste was that of smokey bacon, then settling down to a smoked malt taste with an alcoholic kick like whisky. Not a session drink! My score 16/20.
Highgate - Toons Indulgence4.30AcceptableCharacteristic dry malty taste with peardrops and slight peppery hop flavour. My score 14/20.
20 Jan 2010 (ChrisE)

Weltons - Horsham Old4.50ExcellentCellared for 4 weeks, this sample turned out to be in the style of a classic old style mild - lots of maltiness and a slightly tart dry finish. My score 16/20.
