Just came down for a quiet midweek drink. Pub quiz was going on, didn't even know they did one here. Just sat behind the bar and enjoyed our beer.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 73.80ExcellentLight, crisp and very refreshing. A top notch pale ale.
Camerons - Fools Gold4.00AcceptableQuite typical fruity and slightly malty pale ale. Pleasant enough.

Just a post-cinema swifty tonight. Half a dozen or so people in, including Gray. We sat and discussed the pros and cons of remaking or making sequels to movies. We're an exciting bunch.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Wantsum - Black Pig4.80AcceptableRoasted malt and maybe a hint of chocolate. The flavours are good but I thought it was a little bit watery and not quite full-flavoured enough.

It must have been a long time since I was last here as the building has completely changed colour, the facelift looks good. I've missed these sunday afternoon sessions, great fun.

It always feels a little like coming home when I get here, odd that I leave it so long between visits. A dozen or so in tonight, just enough to make it feel busy. Sat and chatted to Andy about the various pubs we've got to visit. So many pubs, so little time.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Meantime - London Pale Ale4.30ExcellentCrisp and refreshing pale ale. Great hop on this, really tasty. A great beer.

First ones in at 7. Haven't been here in a long time so it was good to be back. Just a quick one then back on the road.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Goffs - Jouster Ale4.00GoodTasty dark malty bitter. Quite fruity with a little hop in there, really quite good.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Dr Sunshine's Special Friendly English Wheat Ale4.20AcceptableI've never been this beer's biggest fan but I remember it being better than this. Very sweet and very cloying, not good.

Popped in at around 10 after seeing Star Trek at the Granville. Quite busy for a wednesday actually. Briefly chatted to Eddie Gadd about random stuff. I wish I wasin charge of the beer here...
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 73.80GoodLight, hoppy and incredibly drinkable.
JW Lees (see also Lees) - Game On4.20GoodPretty good. Malty and sweet with a hint of chocolate thrown in. Got a little cloying towards the end, but still pretty good.

I really have got to make the effort to get here more. Such a chilled out, friendly place to have a couple of beers. Chatted to the usual bunch at the bar then wandered off home.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Everards (see entries against Joule's & Robinsons whilst its new brewery was being built) - Sunchaser4.00ExcellentReally light and hoppy beer. Perfect on a summer's day.

Popped in for a swifty after seeing Watchmen at The Granville. Only five other people in which tends to be the usual for a wednesday. I don't think they're likely to improve that number until they start getting a little bit more motivated with the ale selection. I know it's not a bad beer but I really wish Doom Bar would just go away and not come back!
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 73.80ExcellentI always forget just how good this beer is. Only a couple of years ago I found it to be pretty mediocre. Sweet and lightly hopped. Exceptionally smooth, just a top beer.
Sharp's - Doom Bar4.00Not Tried

First day of spring, lovely sunny day. Sat chatting with Andy the landlord until Andrew and Martin turned up
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 73.80GoodGood drinking bitter. I agree with others that this is now more a distinctive Gadd's beer
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 35.00GoodA bit like a stronger version of the number 7 and the best tasting No. 3 I've had
Otter - Amber4.00GoodIt's a pretty good, sliightly fruity bitter. Good hop on finish. Quite rich in mouth
