I really have got to make the effort to get here more. Such a chilled out, friendly place to have a couple of beers. Chatted to the usual bunch at the bar then wandered off home.
Everards (see entries against Joule's & Robinsons whilst its new brewery was being built) - Sunchaser | 4.00 | | Really light and hoppy beer. Perfect on a summer's day. |
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 7 | 3.80 | Not Tried
JW Lees (see also Lees) - Game On | 4.20 | Not Tried

Popped in for a swifty after seeing Watchmen at The Granville. Only five other people in which tends to be the usual for a wednesday. I don't think they're likely to improve that number until they start getting a little bit more motivated with the ale selection. I know it's not a bad beer but I really wish Doom Bar would just go away and not come back!
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 7 | 3.80 | | I always forget just how good this beer is. Only a couple of years ago I found it to be pretty mediocre. Sweet and lightly hopped. Exceptionally smooth, just a top beer. |
Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried
21 Mar 2009 (Ian)
First day of spring, lovely sunny day. Sat chatting with Andy the landlord until Andrew and Martin turned up
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 7 | 3.80 | | Good drinking bitter. I agree with others that this is now more a distinctive Gadd's beer |
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 3 | 5.00 | | A bit like a stronger version of the number 7 and the best tasting No. 3 I've had |
Otter - Amber | 4.00 | | It's a pretty good, sliightly fruity bitter. Good hop on finish. Quite rich in mouth |
21 Mar 2009 (Andrew)
Walked in to find Ian sitting at the bar with an almost finished pint to No. 7. Sat there with him for 40 minutes until Martin arrived when we went and got a table. There were a handful of locals sat around the bar watching the football. I really like this pub; it's got a great, relaxed, atmosphere.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 7 | 3.80 | | Darker colour than I remember. Tart slight gooseberry flavour with hints of dark fruit |
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 3 | 5.00 | Not Tried
Otter - Amber | 4.00 | Not Tried

The best pub we stopped in tonight. Was actually pretty busy which made a nice change after the other 2 pubs we'd been in. Only had the one when wandered back home.
Burton Bridge - Golden Delicious | 3.80 | | Not very much too it really. Light and mildly hoppy, quite sweet. Inoffensive but certainly not exciting. |
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 7 | 3.80 | Not Tried
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - 80/- | 4.60 | Not Tried

The new Thanet Camra pub of the year for 2009. I'm happy for Andy, this pub definately deserves recognition. Sat at the bar and tried to figure out with others sat at the bar how far it is from Birchington to Reculver...
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 7 | 3.80 | | An ever reliable beer these day. Dry and very hoppy, also very refreshing. Great session beer. |
Brains - SA | 4.20 | Not Tried

It was been a long time since I was here, and I'm not sure why. Good to be back. All the locals were freindly as always. A nice, chilled out pub.
Hook Norton - Old Hooky | 4.60 | | Fruity and nutty bitter. Good beer. |
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 7 | 3.80 | Not Tried
Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried

First Ramsgate pub on the crawl and the best. I was the first one in at 12.00 and I sat at the bar chatting with Andy the landlord about pubs. A fair sprinkling of locals arrived over the next hour talking about horse racing and the freezing cold weather. Great proper pub with lots of activity and Gadd's beers in bottle to take home (so I did, 2 bottles of the 2007 No Tomorrow IPA)
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 7 | 3.80 | | Flavoursome session bitter. Good fullish mouthfeel, good pale malts and then a drying finish. Good flavour and just the right balance for a 3.8% session bitter. |
Elgood's - Barleymead | 4.80 | Not Tried
Brains - Top Notch | 4.40 | Not Tried
13 Nov 2008 (Blair)
The ladies darts team were in, so it was never going to be a quiet one. We weren't very impressed with the beer so only had the one unfortunately.
Brains - Top Notch | 4.40 | | I wasn't overkeen on this one, malty and quite bitter. Very boring pint. Meh describes it well I think. |
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 7 | 3.80 | Not Tried

Just had 20 minutes to sprae while waiting for the bus, popped in for a very swift half. Very busy, with very little room to move. Eddie was in, I was really happy when I saw the Dark Conspiracy on.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Dark Conspiracy | 4.90 | | Black, american style winter warmer. Used to be known as 'Fall Over' but apparently that promoted irresponsible drinking so Eddie had to change it. Really nice beer, sweet and chocolatey with a fair amount of carbonation. I liked it a lot. |
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 7 | 3.80 | Not Tried
