Lunchtime session on the sunday, always a great atmosphere. Spent far too much money on raffle tickets, didn't win a thing, oh well.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - DogBolter Dark Porter | 5.60 | | Outstanding porter, rich and dark with a smooth velvety texture. Delicious as always. |
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 7 | 3.80 | Not Tried
Batemans - Hooker | 4.50 | Not Tried
22 Feb 2008 (Blair)
Came in at around 8, good atmosphere as per usual. Wanted to stay all night but have a long day ahead tomorrow.
Dark Star - Six Hop | 6.50 | | Slightly hazy amber coloured with a frothy, off-white head. Big aroma of grassy, spicy hops. Sweet caramel balancing mouth puckering hops and a warming alcohol finish. Extremely good. |
Batemans - Hooker | 4.50 | | Orangey golden. Some fresh tobacco in the nose. Caramel toffee, slight sweetness. Nothing special, but nice enough. |
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 7 | 3.80 | Not Tried

Popped in at around 2 and it was very busy. Took part in my first meat raffle, everyone was very welcoming.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Oatmeal Stout | 4.60 | | Velvety smooth stout, absolutely delicious. |
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 7 | 3.80 | Not Tried

Popped in as I'd been told they'd added an extra couple of pumps for ale. They're also now selling Biddingdens cider on handpump which is quite rare. Real friendly local pub, perfect place to come for a chat.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 7 | 3.80 | | Tasty session bitter on good form. |
JW Lees (see also Lees) - John Willie's | 4.50 | | Sweet with a caramel flavour to it. Quite pleasant. |

This pub is top notch. He does Archer's village as a regular and then varies the other pump. The beer's always been well served when I've been in and the rotating beers always been interesting. Excellent pub. Tonight there were a few regulars around the bar.
Burton Bridge - Top Dog Stout | 5.00 | | Black beer with acrid bitter burnt malt flavour. The 5% shows itself as a buzz on the tonge after swallowing. The burnt bitter finsh lasts. Excellent stuff. |
Archers - Village | 3.60 | Not Tried

I think this is a great pub. The landlord obviously cares about his beer and the atmosphere is relaxed. The local ladies darts team was in so it was quite a busy night.
Archers - Village | 3.60 | | A well kept pint of beer. A bitter-sweet session beer |
Highgate - Fox's Nob | 4.40 | | Ruby brown beer with a sweet-bitter start and a slightly toasted malt finish. A good session bitter well served. |
22 Mar 2007 (Andrew)
I like this pub. It was quiet with a few people sitting around the bar talking about the forthcoming Planet Thanet Beer Festival.
Potbelly - Beijing Black | 4.40 | | Took me a while to work out there were no hops in this. Slightly sour black beer with an oily sheen to it. Subtle burnt malt on the finish. |
Archers - Village | 3.60 | Not Tried
Brakspear (at Marston's Wychwood then at Banks's) - Organic | 4.00 | Not Tried | Came on after the Potbelly went off |
15 Feb 2007 (Andrew)
Only 2 other people in who were both standing at the bar watching the football on the TV. I like this pub. It's friendly and comfortable.
Robinsons - Dark Horse | 4.30 | | Black beer with thin copper-grey head. Very burnt malt flavour with hints of red fruit. |
Archers - Village | 3.60 | Not Tried
14 Dec 2006 (Andrew)
Busy with a local ladies dart team in. Friendly pub with a cosy locals feel to it.
Crouch Vale - Brewers Gold | 4.00 | | Lots of grape juice, orange and orange peel with a grapefruit hop finish. |
Archers - Village | 3.60 | Not Tried
