Quiet start then a group arrived to fill the place up a bit.

Adnams - Extra4.30GoodNot seen this beer for years so had to reacquaint myself with it. Pretty much as I remember with a sharpish fruity flavour and a malty finish. My score 15/20.

I really like this pub these days. Great beer line up, friendly barman who almost insisted that I try the Old Peculier before buying my pint, pub cat, eclectic group of customers discussing photons and the like. Good stuff.

In Canters xmas shopping. Andrew posted that one of my favourites was on here, but alas the Old Peculier was all gone by the time we arrived. For info, it will be back on from Tuesday, said the friendly barman. Just a couple of other in on a Saturday lunch. Missed the Ian and Andrew pub crawl too!

Not been here for ages. The inside has changed. It's got nice dark red walls with brick columns. The atmosphere was pleasant.

Few people sat around the bar, other than that it was quiet. I liked the atmosphere though, it was a proper pub atmosphere. I'll definitely be returning.

Here with Andrew on first pub of our Canterbury crawl. It's been down up since I was last here, but still more or less the same.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00GoodBit warm, bit malty, some Harvey's yeast, some hop sting on end.

As we walked up to the pub Ian pointed out that it didn't look very open. The New Inn never looks very open. It was, in fact, open. There were a couple of folk sitting at the bar but that was about it. We got our pints and sat in the corner. Nice pub.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00GoodMore malt than usual but the usual hoppy, yeasty Harvey’s flavour as usual.
