Early evening - garden full of Canterbury Archeologists celebrating the end of a dig. Not crowded inside - good ambience. 6 real ales on plus Biddendens cider - excellent choice for a small back street pub.

Not many in which was a shame as I think it was staying open for the Scotland rugby match which was on the TV which it seemed had been installed for the occasion. There were four beers on but I can't remember the 4th.

Having braved the nightmare that is driving around Canterbury on a Saturday lunchtime, I put the car to bed and headed to the pub. Quite a few people in, some of them eating. Warm friendly welcome as always.

Heard they were having a Thornbridge weekend so came to have a look. Nice friendly pub, good atmosphere.
