Gorgeous - Glowfly4.00GoodA good example of a traditional Bitter.

03 Jul 2018 (Stephen Harris)
Evening visit to watch World Cup football on TV. A good crowd in tonight.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Signature Brew - Roadie - All-Night IPA4.30ExcellentVery nice (although as I’m sitting almost next to the brewer, I’m probably obliged to say that).
East London (ELB) - Pale Ale4.00AcceptableOops, this is a bit green (although only came on when all else had been drunk).
Mighty Oak - Captain Bob3.80Not TriedAll drunk before I even arrived.

Midday visit to watch the England v Panama game, which leaves everyone in high spirits for once.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Marble - Pint (was 3.9%)3.40ExcellentA great pint of Pint in superb form. I had a second to be absolutely sure of its quality.
Bellfield - Lawless Village IPA4.50AcceptableFrom a bottle, when everything else ran out. A bit lacklustre.

18 Jun 2018 (Stephen Harris)
My chosen venue to watch the England v Tunisia match on TV. Around 50 club members and locals are present and it is a good chance to catch up with friends I have not seen for a few weeks.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Mighty Oak - Oscar Wilde Mild3.70ExcellentOne of the best Milds around; on great form here.
Mighty Oak - Kings (was 3.9% before 2013)4.20GoodA nice golden beer with Citra hops. But not quite on top form tonight.
Mighty Oak - Time to Shine4.30AcceptableA traditional Bitter. Sweeter than I like, with lots of caramel.
11 May 2018 (Stephen Harris)
The usual big crowd has gathered for a Tap Takeover here – this time it’s the Leigh on Sea Brewery, and their beers prove very popular.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Leigh on Sea - SS99.00ExcellentA very fine, thick, Imperial Stout.
Leigh on Sea - Crowstone5.50ExcellentA superior Black IPA.
Leigh on Sea - Legra Pale3.80ExcellentA fine Pale Ale, the cask conditioning seeming to emphasise the Citra hop qualities.
Leigh on Sea - McFadden3.80ExcellentA very tasty, dark Mild. This is a special brew for the night, named for an all-time Orient hero; Richard McFadden, a goalscoring forward who was killed at the Battle of the Somme in 1916.
Leigh on Sea - TDH IPA7.00AcceptableAn IPA in US-style. For me it comes over as a triumph of strength over flavour.
