A pleasant, multi-roomed pub with a pleasing line-up of local beers. But, mindful of Philip Pirrip’s less than gushing reviews, I cautiously ordered a couple of halves. Just as well they were not full pints, as beer condition was very disappointing.

Have walked by many a time - always loud music emanating. Was tempted this time as Long Man Brewery beers were being touted.

The pub is found in Brighton, East Sussex, BN1 4ED.

A pub that is as near to being underneath Brighton railway station as one can get in Trafalgar Street (No 48). Transforms from office workers at lunchtimes to students and music enthusiasts in the evening. Out front seated drinking area. A multi-room Victorian pub which has 6 handpumps on the bar counter. For a long time it has been a music venue but more latterly has offered a good range of real ales too. 50p per pint CAMRA discount on real ales.

We have visited this pub 28 times, seen 61 different beers and tried 20 of them.
