Evening. Trying to confuse me the venue has swapped over the 3 pumps used for Tap East beers with those used for the 3 guests. Launch pad for High Speed into Kent.

Mid to late evening visit and pretty busy.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Tap East - Brown Porter4.70ExceptionalI had hoped this would still be around, after reading the recent rave review. And, yes, it is an exceptionally nice Porter.
Thornbridge / Thornbridge Hall - Limó3.80ExcellentYellow/gold in colour and very sharp/zesty.

A mid to late evening visit after the shopping crowds have dispersed.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Tap East - Black IPA6.00ExcellentA very big, in-your-face Black IPA. Lots of roasted barley flavours and a heavy hop content.
Beerd (experimental side of Bath) - Blackbeerd Porter4.80GoodA black beer with a creamy head. A very smooth Porter.

Last knockings return visit.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Pilot - India Unfined6.40PoorReturn visit as I had noticed this earlier with its Indian jaggery and toasted fenugreek ingredients. However a murky spice non-beery mix rather than a beer.

Mid-evening, post shopping trauma visit. The Red IPA is £4 a pint tonight with 50p a pint going to Help for Heroes, in view of the Invicta Games going on nearby. So I’m doing my bit for charity tonight.
BeerABVScoreNotes

Mid-evening visit with a steady throughflow of customers. Many first time visitors end up with the default Grolsch in here, but it’s also good to see plenty of experimentation and the staff are really good at guiding customers to the right beers.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Rooster's - Eight-legged Groovemachine!4.50ExcellentA tasty, full-flavoured ginger beer with added bitterness from lemon zest.
Tap East - Blonde4.30GoodGolden, bitter, crisp.
Tap East - Blueberry Berliner3.50AcceptableOn keg dispense. Unlike Jack William’s son-in-law last week I was not offered mine ‘Mit Schluss?’ – perhaps they had run out. In fact there is plenty of blueberry flavour in there already. Over-carbonated for my tastes and perhaps the blueberry flavours were a little too earthy.

Mid-evening visit and moderately busy around the time the shopping centre is closing up.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Marble - Howgate & Kemp New Zealand Pale Ale6.40ExcellentGolden and hop-filled. Fruity and bitter.
Tap East - Summer Ale4.60AcceptableEasy-drinking, pale and bitter. But a bit cloudy and a bit yeasty and clearly no longer in the first flush of youth.

Lunchtime for a swift one and then a bit of a session with the extended family late afternoon. Wonder if Phillip Pirrip was here at the same time? Plenty of other beers on - tried a Lemoncello IPA - too lemony and sweet for a beer I feel. And my son-in-law went for a half of Berliner Blueberrry at 3.5 that came with optional blueberry sauce! He moved onto proper beer very quickly afterwards.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Tap East - Summer Ale4.60ExcellentWonderful bitter hoppiness.
Tap East - Ubique Red IPA (in collaboration with Tap East Brewsters)6.30ExcellentRich smoky flavour. Scored by my son.
Tap East - Belgian Pale Ale (in collaboration with Canterbury Brewers)6.00GoodSlightly cloudy as a wheat beer should be - packed a punch.
