Mid Saturday evening - packed. We took our dog - she is now eligible for the canine photo gallery in the toilet.

Sat evening - well patronised - Xmas jumpers have now even invaded micro pubs. Good buzz and I had a personal tour by landlord Nigel of the racking system. Bliss.
Springhead - Robin Hood | 4.00 | | Good session beer - in excellent condition - my friend stayed on this all evening. |

Very busy inside and out - nice atmosphere.
Dark Star - Hylder Blonde | 4.20 | | Great beer - didn't discern the elderflowers of which it was supposed to have included though. |
Kent - Beyond the Pale | 5.40 | | Wonderfully dry with a slightly nutty flavour and lingering bitter hoppy aftertaste.
Barrel finished shortly after - could well have rated 5 stars earlier? |

Evening. Crowded and doing very well. My colleague had a good chat with the Turnstone brewer - an enthusiastic local home brewer who has recently advanced to limited commercial brewing in 36 pint brewlengths.
Turnstone - Two Seas Pale | 4.30 | | Very full bodied for its abv. Fruity perhaps appley. Rather flat |

XT Brewing - No. 14 Saison Pale Ale | 4.50 | | Also named "Saison Pale Ale" on the board. Belgian style beer - yeasty - good of its kind if you like that sort of thing. |

Evening - pretty full - nice vibe.
Cider on offer included an excellent Kentish Pip Ginger Cider - fresh ginger flavour to a good cloudy cider, 4.0%
Purple Moose - Dark Side of the Moose | 4.60 | | Liquorice notes, great body. |

Kent - Session Pale | 3.70 | | Delicious session blonde ale, served here today in great condition with a nice head. A very polished pint and great lacing. |

Lunch time visit and a bust one it was too. Very friendly atmosphere, and a really nice couple running it. The beer quality served was excellent all in top condition :)
