warm evening - some drinkers outside - nice atmosphere inside - not too crowded. Beware - last orders bell rung at 20:45 and closes at 21:00 on Wednesdays. I haven't heard a last orders bell for years - came over all panicky.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Marble - Pint (was 3.9%)3.40ExceptionalFlowery with crisp bitter undertones. Being consumed by the 3 pint jugful on more than one other table - excellent taste and condition.
Kent - Black Gold4.00GoodLooks like a winter warmer but tastes more like a summer ale - well named.
Goody Ales - Bleangate Brewery - Good Health3.60GoodMalty but with a subtle taste that reflected its ABV. Bit disappointing after the pint of Pint - but very well kept.

My first visit here, it was just after 12:00 and there were already a few in. The main subject of conversation seemed to be the former Ashford ring road. The landlord informed me that the butchers shop opposite does superb hot pies, and that he is happy to supply plates and cutlery should any of his customers need food.

Met Gareth on the bus and 20 mins later walked into the Tankerton Arms. It was busy with all but 1 table taken. We had generous jugs of beer and left at 9 when time was called. The owners were very friendly too. Very good pub.

Evening. Full marks for meeting all requirements of the purist's definition of Micropub. Only open a few days but has bedded in nicely. Quite a few comin's and goin's and examples of strangers (albeit neighbours!) talking. A Micropub already weaving its magic and it is on the Triangle bus route too.
BeerABVScoreNotes

The pub is found in Tankerton, Kent, CT5 2AW.

A micropub in Tankerton Road which first opened on Friday 15th March 2013 located in 139B Tankerton Road. The name is a resurrection of the old Tankerton Arms pub which was highly regarded but converted to apartments sometime ago. The premises was formerly a tattoo parlour and the word Tattoo remains on the glass above the pub frontage. There is no bar counter and there are long wooden raised bench seats fitted to both the left and right hand walls each with 3 heavy chest-height wooden tables. At the back of the pub a glass door leads to the chilled gravity stillage room. A Unisex toilet with a double "kissing gate" entrance is provided. Sells real ales, ciders and red and white wine. Local CAMRA branch Pub of the Year 2016. Subsequently moved to new premises, a few doors along, in late March 2018 to the former HSBC bank premises at 135 Tankerton Road, larger than the previous premises in all regards.

We have visited this pub 51 times, seen 157 different beers and tried 81 of them.
