Brilliant atmosphere as ever - too many good beers to try all
Old Dairy (being contract brewed after it closed) - AK 1911 | 4.00 | | Slightly unusual and very pleasant taste - it was brewed 103 years ago, according to its name, and it's still going strong |
23 Oct 2013 (Jack William)
Quiet - only a handful in - friendly and welcoming.
Westerham - Spirit of Kent XXX Pale Ale | 4.00 | | Criisp, refreshing - excellent condition - with a very moorish bite - am I getting a hint of apple? |

Westerham - Audit Ale | 6.20 | Not Tried
Purple Moose - Snowdonia Ale (Cwrw Eryri) | 3.60 | Not Tried

12:00 My first visit. Excellent, everything in place that should define a proper micro-pub. Very friendly welcome.
Marble - Pint (was 3.9%) | 3.40 | | Nice and hoppy |
Kent - Black Gold | 4.00 | | Good black IPA |
Canterbury Ales (sometimes badged as Canterbrew) - The Knight's Ale | 4.60 | Not Tried
Goody Ales - Bleangate Brewery - Good Health | 3.60 | Not Tried
07 Aug 2013 (Jack William)
warm evening - some drinkers outside - nice atmosphere inside - not too crowded.
Beware - last orders bell rung at 20:45 and closes at 21:00 on Wednesdays. I haven't heard a last orders bell for years - came over all panicky.
Marble - Pint (was 3.9%) | 3.40 | | Flowery with crisp bitter undertones. Being consumed by the 3 pint jugful on more than one other table - excellent taste and condition. |
Kent - Black Gold | 4.00 | | Looks like a winter warmer but tastes more like a summer ale - well named. |
Goody Ales - Bleangate Brewery - Good Health | 3.60 | | Malty but with a subtle taste that reflected its ABV. Bit disappointing after the pint of Pint - but very well kept. |
25 Jun 2013 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening visit with a friend - a sort of farewell before his African adventure.

01 May 2013 (ChrisE)
My first visit here, it was just after 12:00 and there were already a few in. The main subject of conversation seemed to be the former Ashford ring road. The landlord informed me that the butchers shop opposite does superb hot pies, and that he is happy to supply plates and cutlery should any of his customers need food.
Kent - Session Pale | 3.70
Ripple Steam - Classic IPA | 4.50 | | A very bitter beer. |
Whitstable - Native Bitter | 3.70 | Not Tried
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Black Pearl Oyster Stout | 6.20 | Not Tried

I thought it opened at 6 and was surprised how busy it was when we arrived. It opened at 5. Friendly place. We sat at the end and pondered the house prices around here.

Hopdaemon - Incubus | 4.00 | Not Tried

Met Gareth on the bus and 20 mins later walked into the Tankerton Arms. It was busy with all but 1 table taken. We had generous jugs of beer and left at 9 when time was called. The owners were very friendly too. Very good pub.

Hopdaemon - Leviathan | 6.00 | Not Tried
Old Dairy (being contract brewed after it closed) - Gold Top | 4.30 | Not Tried
